Chainring Selection and Installation
Select the appropriate chainring based on your desired gear range and sprocket compatibility. Offset information is critical for proper chainline.

Crash requirement
1.The central axle bowl is imperial,
2.This mid-mounted motor package is suitable for general commuting, mountain bikes, folding bikes, and station wagons;
3.The five-way opening of the whole series is 65~73mm (please confirm whether the size of your five-way pipe meets the loading requirements before shooting), among which 48V/1000W also has 100mm and 120mmd five-way opening. Please note the special requirements. Otherwise, it will default to standard configuration.
4.The kit does not contain batteries
Brake System Integration
Choose between brake levers with integrated motor cutoff or electronic brake sensors, depending on your bike’s existing brake system.

- If your brake is mechanical, you can choose our Brake Lever.
- If your brake is hydraulic, you can choose our Brake Sensor. If you don’t change your brake lever, you can also choose our Brake Sensor.
Wiring Diagram (CAN BUS System)
The kit utilizes a CAN BUS system for communication. Ensure all components are connected as per the diagram. This system requires a BAFANG communication version battery (optional, not included in all kits).
Key Connections:
Motor to Battery (Optional)
Motor to E-BUS 1T4 Cable
E-BUS 1T4 Cable to Display, Throttle, Brake Lever/Sensor (x2)
Speed Sensor to Motor
Optional Headlight to Motor
Optional Gear Shift Sensor (not included, order separately)
⚠ Incompatible with legacy UART Display systems due to redesigned motor interface architecture.
FAQ
Question: What types of bikes are compatible with the BAFANG Mid Drive Kit?
