Based on their drive method and function, electric-assisted bicycles can be mainly divided into electric bicycles, electric motorcycles, and electric mopeds. Furthermore, electric-assisted bicycles (E-bikes) can be further subdivided into urban, hybrid, and commuter models according to their design goals and application scenarios, to meet different needs such as urban commuting, off-road adventure, family transport, and cargo carrying.
High-end e-bikes prioritize a balance between lightweight design, intelligent features, and aesthetics. For example, carbon fiber is used to achieve overall weight reduction, with some models weighing as low as 17kg. Design trends lean towards minimalism, eliminating nuts and wiring harnesses, and emphasizing the integration of color schemes with a sense of technology and style.
Currently, competition in the e-bike market is shifting from basic aspects like range and lightweight design to intelligent and connected features. Dedicated apps enable functions such as riding data monitoring and GPS location-based anti-theft. The application of AI technology is also driving product development towards data-driven decision-making.
